Daddy's Little Surprise

So I was talking to BJ on the phone as he was heading home from work today & he said "oh tell the girls I have a surprise for them". So I told them thinking he had gotten them a pop or candy bar or something little...well turns out it was this. And for any of you who know me I am somewhat frugal. I'm wondering why I am wasting my time cutting out coupons to save me a couple bucks when I have a not so frugal husband obsessed with toys. Needless to say the girls were very excited & have had fun riding this around. I guess all I can say is...whatever.

Bear Lake Over Memorial Day Weekend

Lopha

Brandon & the girls like to call Sophie either Sopha Lopha or just Lopha. She is now almost two months old, which I can't believe! She started smiling on demand last week. My problem is that as soon as I get the camera out she doesn't smile as much (typical). But she is really so sweet!

Grandma Earl

There is not any other person in this whole world like BJ's Grandma Earl. She is the most unique & wonderful person! She comes to visit us every Thursday & brings each of the girls a treat. She is so much fun! We love our Grandma Earl!

My Two Least Favorite Things

I really love being a mom.... let's say most days. There are two things that I do not look forward to as far as being a parent goes. #1 Sickness- So not only have we all gotten sick, but Madelyn got sick AGAIN last night. Please pray that our whole family doesn't get it again! And #2 Potty training- I have been putting this off as long as I could & finally the time has come. I keep trying to tell myself if I have a good attitude it won't be so bad, but it is so hard for me to have a good attitude about it. Emma started potty training 2 days ago & she at least is going on the potty. She's had a couple accidents every day, but really she hasn't figured it out yet. We have a long road ahead of us, but I can't let myself put diapers back on her. Althought it is a BIG temptation!

Anyway, here are some pictures of the process. Sydnee was giving Emma her "potty training juice" thinking it would help her pee right then & Madelyn was giving her bread thinking it would help her go #2. It has been cute of them to try to help.

Dance Recital

Last night the girls had their dance recital. I wish that it had been a better day (Emma threw up all over Brandon right after the recital started so he had to leave & wasn't able to watch the girls, my video camera didn't work, etc.) Anyway, although it was a pretty horrible day, Sydnee & Madelyn did awesome! They are so cute & it was fun to watch! Mandy's studio is amazing!

"Fashion Girls"

So not only do Madelyn & Emma refer to themselves as "fabulous", but apparently they are also "fashion girls". In order to be a fashion girl, Madelyn explained that you have to be "fashionable". I have no idea where they come up with this stuff!

Our Special Surprise Visitors

My grandparents surprised us today with a quick visit. They were on a ride on their trike so my grandpa took the girls for a little ride. They loved it!!!
